****FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE****
Mt. Vernon, Va. - In a statement today, longtime Supervisor Gerry Hyland (D-Mount Vernon) endorsed Paul Krizek to be the next Delegate to represent the residents of Mount Vernon and Lee district.
"I have known Paul for over 25 years through our work in the community and as a friend. He has my unqualified support to be our next Delegate in the General Assembly in Richmond.
Paul grew up in Mount Vernon and is a graduate of Groveton High School. He got his start working in Congressman Jim Moran's district office in 1991 and then worked on Capitol Hill as one of his Legislative Assistants. He has not slowed down since- working on numerous community task forces and organizations, many of which I appointed him to, and the Boards of multiple charities. He lives with his wife and daughter in the Hollin Hills neighborhood and runs a non-profit organization on Richmond Highway with a focus on affordable housing and housing for victims of domestic violence in the County.
It is clear Paul always works with the goal of improving life for those in need and I cannot think of a better person to represent Mount Vernon and the surrounding area in Richmond."
Hyland joins a host of elected officials endorsing Krizek's candidacy, including Jim Moran, Senators Toddy Puller and Adam Ebbin, Delegates Scott Surovell and Mark Sickles, and Lee District Supervisor Jeff McKay. A full list of endorsements is available at PaulKrizek.com
